First Federal believes in helping students achieve their dreams of higher education.

Trade School Application Deadline Extended: Due April 19th, 2024. 

College Scholarship closed March 15, 2024

Since 1922 First Federal has been serving the financial needs of customers in Yamhill County, and we are pleased to offer financial assistance to students investing in their future. Seven (7) $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to selected graduating seniors from public or charter schools (including homeschool students) in Yamhill County, Oregon from: Amity, Dayton, McMinnville, Newberg, Sheridan, Willamina, and Yamhill-Carlton. 

Scholarships for Students Attending Trade School: Closes April 19th, 2024. 

In 2024, First Federal established the First Federal Trades Scholarship to assist graduating seniors pursuing a trade degree/certificate. One (1) $5,000 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior residing in Yamhill County that plans to attend a Trade School in the United States.

Eligible applicants for scholarships must: 

1) Have completed credits required to graduate by June 30th of this year
2) Currently Reside in Yamhill County
3) Pursue continued education at a United States:

a) Accredited four-year college or university
b) Two-year community college
c) Technical or vocational school
d) Trade School (if applying for specific Trade School category)

4) Submit a fully completed application: Including all supporting documents and a 650 word essay on the importance of financial literacy in your life and career.

Awards will be based on involvement in school activities, community service efforts, leadership qualities, and financial need.
For award consideration, eligible applicants must complete and turn in an application, cover letter, resume, a list of scholarships and financial aid applied for, and most recent high school transcript. All documentation should be turned into high school counselor, delivered to any First Federal branch prior to application deadline, emailed to Communications@firstfedweb.com or mailed to:

Each Yamhill County student that submits a fully completed scholarship application by the application deadline, will receive a $100 certificate that can be redeemed by opening or depositing into a First Federal youth savings account.
