Scholarships

First Federal believes in helping students achieve their dreams of higher education

College and Trade school Scholarship applications will be due April 1st, 2026.

Since 1922 First Federal has been serving the financial needs of customers in Yamhill County, and we are pleased to offer financial assistance to students investing in their future. Seven (7) $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to selected graduating seniors from public or charter schools (including homeschool students) in Yamhill County, Oregon from: Amity, Dayton, McMinnville, Newberg, Sheridan, Willamina, and Yamhill-Carlton.

Scholarships for Students Attending Trade School:

In 2024, First Federal established the First Federal Trades Scholarship to assist graduating seniors pursuing a trade degree/certificate. One (1) $5,000 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior residing in Yamhill County that plans to attend a Trade School in the United States.

Eligible applicants for scholarships must:

1. Have completed credits required to graduate by June 30th of this year
2. Currently Reside in Yamhill County
3. Pursue continued education at a United States:
   1. Accredited four-year college or university
   2. Two-year community college
   3. Technical or vocational school
   4. Trade School (if applying for specific Trade School category)
4. Submit a fully completed application Including all required supporting documents: A 650 word essay on the importance of financial literacy in your life and career, resume, cover letter, and most recent high school transcript.

Awards will be based on involvement in school activities, community service efforts, leadership qualities, and financial need.
For award consideration, eligible applicants must submit a fully completed application including these required attachments listed above.

Each Yamhill County student that submits a fully completed scholarship application by the application deadline, will receive a $100 certificate that can be redeemed by opening or depositing into a First Federal youth savings account.
