After graduating from McMinnville High School, Ben Sullivan explored different opportunities before jumping into an electrical apprenticeship. After working in the industrial electrical field, he joined the electrical corporate world and several years later Ben knew it was the right time to make the big leap to small business ownership and opened S&S Electrical Contractors.

“I’m really trying to make the world a better place. I like the feeling that I’m taking care of my guys, that they rely on me, and that means the world to me. Because of that relationship, I’m driven to find them good jobs and opportunities.”

Established in 2010, S&S Electrical Contractors offers commercial and public works electrical services. Their ideal client is “anyone who appreciates a combination of quality work and professionalism mixed in with the small town feel that our team embodies.” Whatever their needs – commercial, industrial service, low voltage systems, or anything else electrical – clients can count on a job well done with fair costs and a high quality of work.

Ben came to First Federal in search of a can-do philosophy. He appreciated working with Commercial Lending team member Tony Journey because, “I came to Tony with a number of ideas. I wanted a bigger space and to own something and Tony’s immediate response was “Let me see what I can do to make that happen.” And he did. He recommended a SBA 504 loan which gave me the terms and flexibility I wanted. I had never received that optimistic and determined level of service anywhere else.”

There are many electricians in the state of Oregon. One thing that sets S&S apart is its client-centered approach. Ben shares, “We actually do care about our customers and what they are getting at the end and we try to be super fair in that experience and we want them to walk out of it feeling like they just worked with the best of the best.” They strive to provide a level of customer service that keeps their clients coming back and recommending S&S to friends and family.
